THE Joint Education Service for Stirling and Clackmannanshire and Forth Valley College (FVC) held an event recently to celebrate their partnership arrangement Learning for Work, the event which was held last month at the college’s Stirling campus, also brought business partners together to shape the future direction of education across the Forth Valley area.

Key partners and employers had the chance to discuss new ways in which they could work together to enhance education and training opportunities for students across the area and to provide employment opportunities.

Dr Ken Thomson, principal at the college – which has a major campus in Alloa – said: “It was a great night, the food prepared by our hospitality students was excellent and we are delighted with the ideas and concepts which have been generated.

“We look forward taking these forward in the coming weeks and months and seeing new and existing partnerships go from strength to strength.”
