A fun-based charity coffee morning will be held in Alloa’s Wetherspoons, The Bobbing John, on Sunday 1 February – where organisers will be raising funds for a children’s cancer support organisation.

From 11am until around 4pm coffees, cakes, face painting and games will be available at the event, which is being held on behalf of CLIC Sargent – a charity providing help and support for children with cancer and their families.

Organisers Kirsty Brown and Louise Matchett would like to invite everyone to the first of many events this year.

Kirsty said: “Come along, have fun and raise money for charity.

“We are going to make this event as big as possible to start off 2015.” CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to young people who are affected by the disease.

It was formed in 2005 after a successful merger between the two charities CLIC and Sargent Cancer Care for Children.
