POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a daylight assault in Alloa this week.
Officers are investigating the incident which took place on Ashley Terrace in Alloa on Monday (16 March).
A man was approached at around 8.15am before being struck to head with the assailant thought to have then run off.
He was described as being 5’9 to 6ft, of stocky build, and was wearing a grey hoody and dark trousers.
A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information after a male was assaulted on Ashley Terrace on Monday morning.
“We are keen to trace anyone who was on the street at around 8.15am and anyone else who may have information regarding this incident.
“We are particularly interested in speaking to the man described as wearing the grey hooded top and dark trousers.” Police are also conducting inquiries into another assault in Alva during the early hours of Monday morning.
Officers were called out The Nebit at around 1.10am following a complaint from a man who said he had been attacked with a weapon in his own home.
