A popular Alloa cafe has been put on the market.

Baxters Cafe , in Mill Street, has come on the market with specialist property adviser Christie + Co.

For 20 years the cafe has been owned and operated by the Baxter family, who have built a glowing reputation and have transformed the restaurant into a popular meeting place for locals.

Baxters offers a wide-ranging menu serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as a popular takeaway service.

Internally the restaurant provides seating for approximately 80 people, while at the rear of the restaurant there is a fully enclosed walled garden area which offers seating for approximately 24. This area is particularly popular during the summer months.

The property benefits from its position in the town centre, surrounded by a mix of high street retailers, banks and bars. The beautiful city of Stirling, Scotland’s heritage capital, is only a 10 minute drive along the A907.

Brian Sheldon, regional director at Christie + Co, is handling the sale. He said: “Having owned and operated the business for the past two decades, it is now our client’s desire to dispose of the leasehold, leaving a fantastic opportunity for potential purchasers to acquire an established and well sited cafe within a busy town centre location.”
