Trainees at the Makers Gallery & Bistro have taken part in an upcycling enterprise project.

Kat Greig, Allan Hughes and Jodie Skelton are all gallery and enterprise trainees. To coincide with the Retro exhibition, the team sourced some second hand furniture and upcycled with a ‘60s and ‘70s vibe.

The results are now for sale in the gallery for anyone looking to make their house that little bit more groovy.

Running until 29 August, Retro is a collaborative showcase of artwork and contemporary crafts. It includes illustrations, prints and designs from makers and artists across Scotland. The exhibition is guaranteed to stir up a feeling of nostalgia.

The Makers Gallery & Bistro is a not for profit social enterprise, providing employability training and personal development. It is aimed at unemployed adults experiencing barriers to employment. The profit from the money you spend on their tasty food and beautiful stock is gifted to their parent charity Reachout With Arts in Mind.

Find the exhibition at The Makers Gallery & Bistro, Unit 3 The Makers Village, Ludgate, Alloa, FK10 2DE.
