Judging for the Clacks Business Awards 2015 took place on Thursday (13 August).
The quality of the nominations was such that the panel of three judges - Brian Stormont, regional editor, Alloa Advertiser; George Thomson, CEO, Volunteer Scotland; and George Stevenson, chairman, Scottish Family Business Association; - deliberated for over three hours before arriving at a decision.
They were whittling the huge number of entries down to a shortlist of three for each of the categories; Most Promising New Business, High Street Business of the Year, Outstanding Performing Business, Not for Profit Organisation of the Year, Food Drink and Hospitality Award and Green Business of the Year.
And after examining all the nominations in great detail they did come to a conclusion.
Finalists are now being contacted and we will publish the full list in next week’s Alloa Advertiser.
