ON FRIDAY, October 9, a special assembly was held at St Serf’s Primary School in Tullibody where pupils, staff and parents said farewell to head teacher Carolyne McDaid.
Mrs McDaid left the school after 12 years of service and received gifts, flowers and a special book of memories from the children and their parents.
She said: “St Serf’s is a fabulous school and it has been a joy and a privilege to be head teacher there. The children, past and present, have been amazing and made me smile every day.
“I will miss the school greatly, but I leave knowing it will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Mrs McDaid is now the service manager for school improvement within Clackmannanshire Council’s Education Service.
