Dollar Academy has won the national Pipes and Drums Competition for the 10th consecutive year.
Once again, the Wee County-based school band dominated the Scottish Schools Combined Cadet Force Pipes and Drums Competition and were named best overall entry for the 10th consecutive year.
Not only did the A Band retain this prestigious trophy, but the Dollar B Band sealed the success, and showed strength in depth, by taking second place.
In addition to the extraordinary achievement of the bands, a large number of individuals gained personal recognition by winning solo events in piping and drumming.
The school is delighted to have reached this significant 10 year landmark.
Band instructor Craig Stewart is proud of what has been achieved.
He said, 'The success of the bands has come from long, hard practice and teamwork.
'The early morning practices are particularly important and it is wonderful to see young people showing such commitment and dedication.'
