Pupils at Banchory Primary School and Nursery in Tullibody celebrated the poet Robert Burns on Monday (26 January) afternoon in the school’s hall.
The youngsters, from nursery age right up to P7, put on a variety of performances to commemorate Robert Burns Night this year. They put on a show of poetry, singing, dance and art, enjoying each other’s performances.
The event was organised by the school’s acting deputy head Miss Higgins, who got a helping hand from P7 students.
The week before the celebrations, pupils spent their time learning all about Burns and his works, and they practised for the afternoon. Burns’ famous Address to a Haggis was also recited and following the event, the pupils got to enjoy a wee cup of Irn-Bru.
