The sun was shining on the great summer family fun day at Sunnyside Primary School on the weekend.
The day, organised by the school’s parent council, started at 10am and lasted until 2pm on Saturday (23 May). Activities and stalls at the event included bouncy castles and inflatables, rodeo bull, cake and candy, hotdogs and refreshments, tombola, bottle stall, plaster and paint, nursery play area, pre loved uniforms, face painting, nails, hoopla, hook a duck and playground games.
On its Facebook page, Sunnyside Primary Parent Council wrote: “Thanks a million to everyone who came out and made it a great day. Hopefully we can get a couple more facepainting volunteers next year to keep the queues down, poor Claire and Helen will be painting faces in their sleep. And on that note, thanks a million to the volunteers, your help is everything and without it we just couldn’t do it! Sorry if we’ve tired you all out!” A car boot sale also took place during the fun day in the car park.
