WORK on the Hillfoots Diamond Jubilee Way, a 21-km route which will run from Logie to Muckhart, is progressing well.
A landmark project of the Ochils Landscape Partnership (OLP), most of the new seating and easy access, self-closing gates have been installed at key locations along the way, together with explanatory Interpretation Boards which provide additional information on the historic route.
Ian Gillies, project officer, said, “The new Hillfoots Diamond Jubilee Way is taking shape and we hope to have it completed in the next few months.
“It will provide an easily accessible and enjoyable route with something for everyone, from walkers to sightseers, to nature lovers to families out for some fresh air.” There is also a free, downloadable app on the Diamond Jubilee Way which people can access and new information can be found on the route, as specific information about each settlement along the way – Logie, Blairlogie, Menstrie, Alva, Tillicoultry, Dollar and Muckhart.
