HILLFOOTS ballet pupils are to be congratulated on their performances in recent exams.

The exam results from 21 June ensure that teacher Pamela Allan maintains her 100 per cent pass rate garnered over a 35 year career.

The Joint Examining Board of the Royal Academy of Dane and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing examined Mrs Allan’s pupils over a wide range of abilities, from Rose awards up to Grade 4.

Receiving a Silver Rose award with distinction were Emma Godfree, Sophie McKillop and Katherine Serrano.

Arabella Mitchell and Ava Pickles were awarded a silver rose with honours.

Gold Rose awards with distinction were presented to Emma Beatty, Rachel Godfree, Adeline Humphrey, Madeleine McIlwraith and Esme Price.

Receiving the Gold Rose award with honours were Cara Croman, Ava Roche and Amy Schofield.

In the Primary ballet exam, Rebecca Cowan, April Methven and Freya Robins passed with distinction, with Grace McCaig passing with merit.

Passing their Introduction to Grade 1 Ballet with distinction were Erin Donoghue, Emma Manson and Bethany McNicol, with Vanessa Wilson passing with merit.

Cecily Douglas and Megan Knight successfully passed their Grade 1 Ballet with merit.

For Grade 2 ballet, Catrin Mclean and Sorcha Williams passed with distinction, with Alison Jack passing with merit.

Charlotte Johns, Annalise McManus and Lucy Ross all passed their Grade 3 with distinction, whilst Claire Jack passed with merit.

In the Grade 4 ballet exam, Catriona Breasely and Sophie Ross passed with distinction, with Katie Smith passing with merit.

New pupils are always welcome to attend.

Pre School dancing and children’s ballet classes are held on Tuesday afternoon in the Burnside Hall, Dollar, with Grades 4 and 5 ballet being held on Wednesday evenings.

Autumn term commences on Tuesday 9 September.
