Clackmannanshire fundraising group, Deans Fundraisers, presented a cheque for £400 to Ian Scott of The Zak Scott Braveheart Foundation.
The money was raised through the group’s annual bowls tournament, The Dunney Trophy, which is played in fancy dress and allows the winners pick the recipients of the cash raised.
David Dowel, Robin Hunter and Colin Blake were triumphant this year and the foundation – started to provide help and grant small wishes of children and young people with a heart disorder who are being/or about to be treated at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children Glasgow – was chosen.
Deans Fundraisers is made up of the family of Dean Duncan, who suffers from life threatening asthma.
His family began fundraising with a bowling tournament for Asthma UK and, six years on, they raise money for many local causes in his name – which he often lends a helping hand to.
