All Alva people recently had the opportunity to complete a Community Action Plan survey and the option to enter a £50 prize draw.
Doug MacGregor was the lucky winner of the draw which took place at Alva Games on Saturday (11 July).
Alva Community Council initiated the formation of Alva Steering Group which produced the survey to empower the community to shape Alva’s future.
The survey responses are being independently analysed and will go forward into a Community Action Plan that will give a mandate to carry out community-based action by providing evidence which will assist in applications for funding and support for projects and facilities. One of the recipients of Alva Community Action Plan will be Clackmannanshire Council which will use it to decide priorities when Alva town centre is upgraded as part of the ‘Village and Small Town Centre Initiative’ that has recently seen upgrades in Sauchie and Tullibody.
