There was a spate of mindless vandalism to motor vehicles in the Wee County at the weekend.
Overnight from Friday into Saturday (10 & 11 July), two vehicles were extensively scratched by a sharp instrument on Alva’s Parkgate.
In what is understood to be a separate and unrelated incident, overnight Saturday into Sunday (11 & 12 July), five other vehicles were also damaged extensively by a sharp instrument on Ashley Terrace, Alloa.
Police Scotland said that there appears to be no motive for the vandalisms other than “a mindless disregard for the property of others”.
The total cost of repairs is thought to be several thousand pounds and anyone with any information that could help police identify those responsible are urged to contact the force using the non-emergency 101 number, in person at Alloa Police Office, or those who wish to remain anonymous can contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
