A Clackmannanshire mum has set herself the challenge of cycling more than 170 miles to raise money for the National Autistic Society (NAS) Scotland – the charity of which she is director.
Jenny Paterson, from Alva, will cycle from Inverness to Stonehaven as part of the popular Ride the North event. Her place was donated by the event’s director, Neil Innes.
The charity cycle will be a particular challenge for Jenny after she broke her ankle last year.
She continued: “Recovering from my injury, and juggling two young children with a busy job – not to mention the uninspiring Scottish summer – means that I’m not as prepared as I’d hoped for the cycle, but I’m going to give it my very best.
“It’s going to be tough, but hopefully knowing that will encourage people to dig deep and donate to the National Autistic Society Scotland!” To sponsor Jenny please visit justgiving.com/Jennyp1
