The Cobbler from Beinn Narnain.

Head for Arrochar and carry on the short distance to Succoth. Park up in the Forestry Commission car park (£1 charge) cross the main road and follow the marked path opposite through the woods but turn off after a very short distance up a path to your right through the woods, the main path takes you off towards the Cobbler.

The path you're following has concrete bases every so often left over from a hydro project which lets you know you're on the right path. Shortly you will reach a road go straight across, it looks like your about to walk into a large rock but trust me just go straight over and keep going.

You will come across a couple of easy rocky scrambles but they are very easy ones, this area can be a bit boggy and the path fades in and out here. The Cobbler can be seen to the left as the ground flattens for the ascent to Cruach nam Miseag. There is a brief descent before reaching the prominent Spearhead, once again the scrambling is easy going and the summit is arrived

Follow the path out and down towards Beinn Ime. There is a well defined path up this steep but rewarding mountain this is the highest summit in the Arrochar Alps with amazing views of Beinn Narnain and the Cobbler.

To make your way back to the car park make your way back down to a clear junction of routes at the base of the Cobbler. If you still have some energy left you can make your way up the stepped path to the summits of the Cobbler, or keep following the path that hugs the base between Beinn Narnain and the Cobbler. Follow the zig zag path down through ground of felled trees heading back down towards Loch Long and the starting point of this lovely walk.
