GREEN construction product manufacturer ScotAsh swapped blending cements and grouts for altogether more delicious concoctions in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team, based at Longannet Power Station, invited suppliers and customers round for coffee and cakes, raising a total of £645 for the charity.
It was part of Macmillan’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event which this year was held on 26 September.
Karen Seivwright, Sales, Personnel, Training and Admin Assistant, who organised the event at ScotAsh, said, “All of us know someone in our work or social circles who has been affected by cancer, so every member of our 22-strong team was keen to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
“We produced and sold literally hundreds of cakes and would like to thank everyone who supported us for their generous donations.” ScotAsh is a joint venture between ScottishPower and Lafarge Tarmac which produces environmentally friendly construction products, such as cements and grouts, using re-engineered power station ash.
