A disgraceful act of vandalism, which involved a child’s wheelchair, occurred in Clackmannan last week.
A parked vehicle was vandalised on the town’s Erskine Place sometime between 11pm Tuesday (14 April) and 9am the next morning (Wednesday 15 April).
The car’s front near-side window and windscreen were smashed covering the wheelchair of the owner’s disabled child in shards of shattered glass.
The wheelchair will now require specialist cleaning to ensure it is safe to use.
It is the Advertiser’s understanding that the family which owns the car were left shocked and saddened by the incident.
Some people took to social media to express their anger over the incident and said they hope the culprits are apprehended quickly.
Anyone with any knowledge as to who has been responsible for this incident should call Police Scotland on the non-emergency 101 number or put in an anonymous call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
