A HOUSING development in Clackmannan has been given the name Millburn.
As previously reported, 94 private houses and 35 affordable homes will be built off Burnside Crescent and the A907 by Maven Property and Ambassador Homes.
Elected members of Clackmannanshire Council's Planning Committee last Thursday decided the new street will be called Millburn.
It was the only suggestion being put forward, by Ambassador, despite the fact that consultation with local schools, heritage groups and other interested parties took place.
Comments from councillors in the chamber at Kilncraigs suggested consulting locals over the festive period should be avoided in the future.
The decision is now subject to consultation with the Royal Mail Address Development Centre.
