NOW the schools are back and it’s time to look out the winter clothes, it’s a good opportunity to clear the clutter you no longer need.
Blythswood Care welcomes your donations, which will be appreciated by someone else and can help others who are in great need through its network of charity shops in the UK and eastern Europe and partner organisations.
The collection lorry will be calling today (Wednesday) at Morrisons, Alloa, from 12.30-1pm, and will accept clothing, shoes, books, small items of furniture, bric-a-brac and foodstuffs.
Donations may also be delivered to the Blythswood collection bin at Saline Parish Church or the Blythswood Shop in Callander.
Good are distributed to the charity’s shops or prepared for sending to partner organisations in Eastern Europe, who are working to help extremely poor families and individuals.
The Blythswood Care annual Shoe Box Appeal is now under way, and leaflets, posters and DVDs are available from the Collection Lorry, online at blythswood.org or by contacting 0845 456 9460.
Filled boxes can be delivered to the lorry in October or November.
