THE supported bus services funded by Clackmannanshire Council will change next month.

Alterations will be made to routes and numbers from Monday 31 August.

New timetables can be found on Clacksweb and the local authority has said these mean it continues to provide services in communities where the current services are well used, or where there is no alternative.

Enterprise and environment convener, councillor Donald Balsillie, said: “I am pleased that the council is able to continue supporting bus services. In common with all public sector organisations we continue to face financial challenges and these changes ensure we continue to provide bus services to meet the needs of our communities.” The changes to be made are: -Service C64: Alloa Town centre will be renumbered Service C1 and will operate to an amended timetable.

-Service C68: Menstrie - Alloa; Service C69: Glenochil - Alloa – Dollar; will be replaced by Service C2 operating between Glenochil, Alloa and Tillicoultry.

-The Sunday C70 Service will cease.
