MORE than 150 council staff have seen their wages rise following the increase of the Clackmannanshire Council’s ‘living wage’.
The increase from £7.50 to £7.65 per hour was agreed when the local authority passed its 2014/15 budget earlier this year.
A total of 165 staff have benefited of which a large proportion are women working in jobs such as carers and cleaners.
