COUNCILLORS and support staff are moving to Kilncraigs this month.

From Monday 28 July, members of the public looking to speak to a councillor should make an appointment as usual, via phone or email.

The final council meeting to be held in the Greenfield council chambers was on 26 June and the first to be held in the new chambers will be on Thursday 14 August.

The development is making use of the 1936 Kilncraigs building and Paton’s School and the move means Greenfield House is now closed to the public.

Council Leader Gary Womersley said, “These moves are part of a wider change programme for Clackmannanshire Council, delivering savings and efficiencies, improving customer service in the long term and cutting the cost of running three corporate buildings in Alloa, whilst creating a modern, efficient and flexible working environment for our staff.

“By reducing office space and introducing new and more flexible ways of working for staff, we will save in excess of £3m over the life-span of the project.” Customers are reminded that if they wish to make a payment they can do so at the Bank Street office, where they can also pick up/return claim forms and make Scottish Welfare Fund applications.

Application forms can also be downloaded from ClacksWeb and you may be quicker calling them on 01259 450000 rather than visiting the revenues office, which will be moving to Speirs Centre when it opens later this year.

Lime Tree House and Greenfield House have been declared as surplus to requirements and are currently up for sale.

All council email addresses and phone numbers remain the same. More information is available on ClacksWeb.
