THE mother of Barry Bradley, who was killed in a street attack last Sunday, has appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on a heroin dealing charge.
Catherine Haney pled not guilty on Thursday to being concerned in the supply of the class A drug between 1 November 2008 and 9 October 2009 from a property at Bank Street. A date for the trial was set in February next year and Sheriff David Mackie conveyed his sympathy to Haney (39) saying, "May I take this opportunity to express my sadness for your loss."
Two men have been charged for the incident which led to Barry's death in Alva.
The 18-year-old was also due to appear in court on the same day on a joint theft charge with Kevin Boon (18), of Hareburn Road, Tillicoultry.
Boon pled not guilty with his solicitor, Elaine Buist, describing the circumstances as "somewhat exceptional". The trial date for Boon was set for January next year.
