AN Alva teenager has admitted headbutting a woman who called him a coward.
At Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday, Alexander Sinclair (17), of Greenhead, pled guilty to assaulting a woman at The Nebit on 9 May.
Fiscal depute Jim Graham said the 46-year-old lady was in her garden when she noticed the accused on the path behind her house.
Sinclair shouted over to her about an on-going problem he had with her son and she called him a coward.
The accused then said, "If I'm a coward come here then" - and when she approached Sinclair butted the woman on the nose.
In court, Sheriff David Mackie was handed with a letter from the victim which was described as being "generous towards the accused".
Sinclair further admitted a breach of the peace by brandishing a wooden pole and chasing two people along Croftshaw Road on 16 April.
The pair, a 13-year-old and 15-year-old, were at the bus stop when Sinclair approached and said, "My name is Alexander and I own this town".
He then pulled a pole out of his sleeve and asked the complainers if they wanted "battered" before swinging the pole and chasing them.
A neighbour heard the teens shouting for help and he restrained Sinclair until the police arrived.
Sheriff David Mackie deferred sentence for social enquiry reports, a community service assessment and a venture trust assessment.
