A YOUNG Alloa man mixed drink and drugs before he dialled the police and told the operator he was going to stab anyone that came to his house.

Liam Young (25) phoned the emergency services several times over the course of a few hours during a boozy session.

Police officers were sent out to his home and when they arrived Young became aggressive and threatened to “bite” their noses off.

Young failed to calm down and was arrested but his tirade continued. As he was put into the back of the police vehicle, he shouted at officers “I’ll bite you”, “piggy c****” and “You polis c**** will get it”.

Young, of Pine Grove, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court for sentence on Thursday after he admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm on 2 March at his home.

Fiscal depute Susannah Hutchison explained that on the evening of 2 March, Young was consuming alcohol and a quantity of “unknown drugs”.

She added that Young called the police several times and at around 7.20pm during one of the calls he “made motion of stabbing anyone that came to his address”.

Young’s solicitor, George Higgins, told the court that he had mixed alcohol with medication that night which caused his “agitated state”.

He added, “He tells me he hasn’t had a drink since 3 March. He knows he has to stay away from alcohol to get any benefit of the help to him.” Sheriff William Wood placed Young on a Community Payback Order for two years with the condition of supervision, and ordered him to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within three months.
