A YOUNG man who failed to keep himself out of trouble was banged up for 18 weeks.
On Thursday (12 June) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Michael Macaulay (23) admitted breaking into a flat in the town’s Smithfield Loan and stealing £50 cash on 4 June 2013.
Sentence was previously deferred for good behaviour, however the 23-year-old, of Churchill Street in Alloa, has since been locked up for assault and failed to pay back the £50 stolen as ordered.
Sheriff Derek O’Carroll jailed Macaulay for 18 weeks, which will run consecutively with his current sentence.
