CONWAY A man has denied acting in an aggressive manner.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Barry Conway (31) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly shouting, uttering threats, banging on windows and doors, and forcibly opening the rear patio doors of a house in the town’s Keverkae on 2 March 2014.

Conway, of Alloa’s Thorne Road, will stand trial on 19 August.

JOHNSTONE A man has denied viciously attacking a woman.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Adam Johnstone (49) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly pushing a woman to the ground, ripping her clothes, repeatedly pulling her hair, grabbing her by the neck, and scratching her head and body.

The assault is alleged to have happened at his home address on 2 March 2014.

The 49-year-old also denies a charge of having cannabis in his possession on the same date in Alloa’s Orkney Court.

Johnstone, of the town’s Hervey Street, will stand trial on 27 August.

MCINTYRE A man has been accused of gouging another man’s eye.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Edward McIntyre (30) had his case continued further without plea until 1 September.

McIntyre, of the town’s Katrine Court, is alleged to have threatened a man with violence, punched him on the head, struggled violently with him and gouged his eye to his injury on his home street on 5 April 2014.

MELDRUM A man has denied allegedly pushing an 11-year-old boy to the ground and repeatedly stamping on his body.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Ian Meldrum (34) maintained a plea of not guilty to the charge of assault – which allegedly happened at an address in the town’s Tay Court between 1 and 30 November 2013.

Meldrum, of Alloa’s Maree Court, will stand trial on 15 December.

PATERSON A young woman has denied scratching a man.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Sammyjo Paterson (22) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly acting in an aggressive manner at an address in the town’s Old Brewery Lane on 23 February 2014.

Paterson is alleged to have shouted, swore, uttered threats of violence and scratched a man’s head Paterson, of Stirling’s Raploch Road, will stand trial on 18 August.

SHAHZAD A man accused of allegedly punching and scratching a woman in a takeaway shop will have to wait until the end of the year to fight his case.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Ali Shahzad (30) maintained a plea of not guilty to the charge of assault – which allegedly happened in the town’s Curry Central on 19 February 2014.

Shahzad denies allegations that he repeatedly pushed the woman on the body, attempted to seize a mobile phone from her hand, repeatedly punched her on the body, scratched her on the body, seized her by the clothing and pulling her by the body to her injury.

Shahzad, of Alloa’s Primrose Street, was due to stand trial on Tuesday 12 August, but due to the unavailability of police witnesses the date was moved to 15 December.

BURGON A woman has denied allegations that she nicked a bank card and used it to steal over £560.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Amyanne Burgon (28) pleaded not guilty by letter and will stand trial on 6 December.

Burgon, of Beechwood in Sauchie, is alleged to have stolen a bank card from an address in Malcolm Court, Dollar, on 24 January 2014.

The 28-year-old then allegedly used said card and pin to withdraw £200 from The Royal Bank of Scotland’s ATM in Alloa’s High Street and £61.50 from A A Newsagents in Stirling on the same day.

Burgon also denies a charge of withdrawing £300 from an ATM at The Royal Bank of Scotland in Stirling’s Murray Place on 25 January 2014.

BURT A man has denied allegedly pushing another man and spraying oil at his head and body.

On Monday (11 August) at Alloa Sheriff Court, James Burt (54) maintained a plea of not guilty in relation to the incident – which allegedly happened at Lemac Engineering in Tillicoultry’s Barn Park Industrial Estate on 7 February 2014.

Burt, of Craigleith in Fishcross, will stand trial on 26 August.
