MCPARLAND A drug dealer has been warned he faces jail.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Paul McParland (35) admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis after he was caught by police with five bags of the drug and £1030.61 in cash whilst driving along the town’s Stirling Road, near Arns Brae roundabout, on 10 January 2014.

Sheriff Derek O’Carroll told McParland, of St Serf’s Walk in Alva, that custody was a possible option and deferred sentence until 2 October for the completion of a criminal justice social work report.

MORRISON A Paisley man has denied sending abusive texts to his ex.

Steven Morrison (38) refutes calling his former partner - who lives in Cambus - derogatory names on 7 June 2014.

The 38-year-old also denies threatening to make private matters public and using menacing terms to cause fear and alarm.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Morrison failed to show up for his adjourned intermediate diet.

Defending, Gary Munro claimed his client was unwell all weekend. Mr Munro added that Morrison, of Almond Crescent, was still without legal aid at the moment, but they hoped to have that rectified ahead of the trial on 15 September.

MCGREGOR A Glasgow man has denied being in possession of a mobile phone and charger whilst inside a Glenochil Prison cell.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Steven McGregor (30) maintained a plea of not guilty to having the equipment on 27 September 2013.

McGregor, of Balmoral Drive, will stand trial on 15 September.

MCGUIRE An Alloa man who was not in the Christmas spirit has been given six months to stay out of trouble.

On Monday (1 September) at the town’s Sheriff Court, Steven McGuire (37), of Mill Street, pleaded guilty to grabbing another man by the head and body to his injury in Alloa’s Falconers Store on 20 December 2013.

Sheriff Derek O’Carroll deferred sentence until 19 February 2015 for good behaviour.

MCIVOR A man has denied a charge of repeatedly grabbing a woman by the throat.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Stephen McIvor (45) maintained a plea of not guilty to the alleged assault at an address in Dollar’s Mitchell Court on 16 March 2014.

McIvor, of Alva’s Cochrane Crescent, will stand trial on 16 September.

HARRISON A young man who acted in an aggressive manner and resisted arrest was fined £500 for his outburst.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Darren Harrison (22) admitted shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence towards police officers and repeatedly headbutting the inside of a cop car in his home street on 17 March 2014.

Harrison, of Alva’s Stirling Street, also admitted resisting arrest by struggling violently with two constables and refusing to get out of the vehicle when it thereafter arrived at Stirling police station.

HENDERSON A man who allegedly chased witnesses with a golf club will fight the charge.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Graham Henderson (26) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly behaving in a threatening and abusive manner in Tillicoultry’s Westbourne Avenue on 21 September 2013.

Henderson is accused of shouting, swearing, issuing threats of violence and putting witnesses in a state of fear and alarm by chasing them whilst in possession of a golf club.

The accused also denies allegedly shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence while being held in Stirling Police Office on the same date.

Henderson, of Tilly’s Ramsay Terrace, will stand trial on 22 September.

JOHNSTONE A man has denied allegedly attempting to storm a house.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Adam Johnstone (49) maintained a plea of not guilty to a charge of acting in a threatening manner in the town’s Kingswell Park on 2 January 2014.

Johnstone is accused of placing those inside the house in a state of fear and alarm by allegedly attempting to gain entry with another person whilst in possession of a metal bar and pool cue or similar implement.

The 49-year-old denies allegedly shouting, swearing, breaking glass and throwing said glass at a woman. Johnstone, of Alloa’s Hervey Street, will stand trial on 23 September.

COCHRANE A Tilly man denies assault.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Steven Cochrane (28) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly seizing a man by the neck, pulling him to the ground and repeatedly punching him on the head and kicking his body in the town’s Station Road on 5 September 2013.

Cochrane, of Stoneyacre, will stand trial on 24 September.

ECCLES A 63-year-old woman has denied committing an assault.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Denise Eccles (63) pleaded not guilty to allegedly striking another woman on the wrist at an address in Tullibody’s Dovecot Road on 26 June 2014.

Eccles, of Tullibody’s Cleuch Avenue, will stand trial on 9 February 2015.

ECCLES A man has denied allegedly pushing a woman to the ground.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Edmond Eccles (27) maintained a plea of not guilty to the charge of acting in a threatening manner at an address in Sauchie’s Lochbrae on 6 September 2013.

Eccles is accused of attending there uninvited, repeatedly kicking a door, shouting, swearing, demanding property and pushing a woman on the head and body causing her to fall over.

Eccles, of Slamannan’s Blinkbonnie Terrace, will stand trial on 29 September.

THOMPSON A man has denied hitting another male on the head with a pool ball.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Andrew Thompson (27) maintained a plea of not guilty to the alleged assault at Glenochil Prison on 29 August 2013.

Thompson, of Drip Road in Stirling, will stand trial on 29 September.

MACGREGOR A man has denied allegedly assaulting a seven-year-old girl.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Steven MacGregor (41) maintained a plea of not guilty to allegedly striking the youngster on the body with a plastic toy to her injury at an address in Sauchie on 19 June 2014.

MacGregor, of Alva’s Queen Street, will stand trial on 23 October.

FORBES A 79-year-old man has been accused of dragging a woman out of a car, shouting at her, pushing her against a roadside barrier and pulling her by the hair.

On Monday (1 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, James Forbes (79) maintained a plea of not guilty to the alleged assault along the A908 Alloa to Fishcross road, near Carsebridge roundabout, on 31 May 2014.

Forbes, of Skaithmuir Avenue in Carronshore, will stand trial on 1 October.
