A SERIAL thief has been given four months to stay out of trouble.

On Thursday (25 September) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Adele Christie (29) admitted a number of thefts.

The 29-year-old, of Zetland Street in Clackmannan, pleaded guilty to stealing a laptop, cable, camera, two carrier bags and two receipts from an address in Galan, Alloa, on 19 June 2013.

She also pinched a quantity of foodstuffs, clothing, household items and toiletries from Alloa’s Tesco on 30 June last year.

A day earlier, she nicked a bank card from an address in Mull Court, Alloa, and then stole £100 from an ATM at Clackmannan Co-operative store on 10 July 2013.

She also lifted a Post Office bank card from an address in Clackmannan’s Castle Street at some point between 28 October 2013 and 4 November 2013, and then used the card to steal £150 from an ATM at Sauchie Post Office on 4 November 2013.

Defending, Kelly Howe claimed her client was making progress on another Community Payback Order and was overcoming her substance abuse.

Sheriff David Mackie deferred sentence further until 29 January 2015 and ordered a supplementary criminal justice social work report.
