A FORMER Alloa man has been given a one-month prison term following four counts of abusive behaviour — including threatening to kill a woman earlier this year.
Jamie Burns (28), giving his address as Augustus Way, Pembrokeshire, pleaded guilty to the charges at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday (October 23).
He admitted to acting in a threatening manner towards a total of three women and a nurse at Forth Valley Hospital on New Year’s Eve.
Burns, formerly of Tay Court, followed and assaulted two women on Zetland Street, Clackmannan, on 9 June 2013.
He threw a shoe at one of the complainers before attempting to throw a buggy at her. He then proceeded to throw the buggy at the other woman.
Then, on 1 January 2014, Burns verbally abused an auxiliary nurse at Forth Valley Hospital while refusing treatment.
And finally, on 2 March 2014, he threatened to kill a woman during an altercation at a home in Alloa.
Sheriff Kenneth McGowan sentenced Burns to one month’s imprisonment for each offence, with the three sentences to run concurrently.
