A BO’NESS man has denied carrying out an attack on two Alva women, one of whom was pregnant at the time.
The 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to both charges, as well as a further allegation of carrying an offensive weapon in Clackmannan, at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (17 November).
He is alleged to have assaulted the pregnant woman by repeatedly punching her to the head and body, and kicking her to the body, at a property on Rhodders Grove on 26 May 2014.
He is also accused of attacking another woman during the same incident by throwing her to the couch and repeatedly punching her to the face and body.
On the same day he is charged with carrying a cosh at the Gartarry Roundabout, near Clackmannan.
He denies all three charges and has submitted a special defence of self-defence in respect of the two assault charges.
