TWO Alloa men have denied allegedly carrying out a violent assault in March of this year.

Both accused – a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old – maintained their pleas of not guilty when they appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (24 November).

They are alleged, while acting with others unknown, to have repeatedly punched and kicked a man to his head and body before pulling him to the ground and repeatedly stamping on his head, all to his injury.

The teenager is further accused of acting with others unknown in allegedly assaulting a second man by repeatedly punching and kicking him on the head and body to his injury.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place on Whins Road, Alloa, on 14 March 2014.

Both accused submitted a special defence of self-defence and will face trial on 17 December.
