A TILLICOULTRY man who threatened to murder police officers has been given a supervision order.

Graham Henderson (26), of Ramsey Terrace, appeared before Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday (20 November).

He pleaded guilty to acting in a threatening and abusive manner, while shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence at Stirling Police Station on 21 September 2013.

He also admitted three charges – wilful destruction of property, acting in a threatening and abusive manner and resisting police officers – on 6 October 2014.

Procurator fiscal Marie-Claire Chaffey told the court how he had been drinking in the Woolpack Inn on Glassford Square.

She said: “He then left and staff watched as he walked toward a parked car before smashing the back window.

“Police were then called and later traced the accused.

“Officers approached him on Roundel Wood where he then uttered threats of violence.

“He told the police he would ‘slit their throats’ before saying he would ‘murder yees’.

“He then kicked and headbutted the police vehicle and struggled violently.” In mitigation, Kelly Howe, defending, said: “Mr Henderson has no recollection of the events and it is clear that drinking was certainly a feature in the charge.” After hearing the facts of the case, Sheriff David Mackie handed Henderson a community payback order, compelling him to undergo supervision order.

This stipulation is to accompany another CPO Henderson is currently subject to, which will be up for review on 19 December.
