TWO men have denied dangerous driving while taking part in an unlawful street race, Alloa Sheriff Court has heard.
A 32-year-old from Tillicoultry and a 22-year-old from Tullibody appeared before Sheriff David Mackie on Monday (24 November) where both maintained their pleas of not guilty.
The incident is alleged to have taken place within the Tesco Car Park on Auld Brig Road, Alloa, on 20 July 2013.
Both men are accused of driving dangerously in that they engaged in a race, drove in an erratic fashion and at speeds up to 50mph.
The accused from Tillicoultry is further accused of tailgating the other driver.
The case is scheduled to go trial on 8 December; however, both are due back at Alloa Sheriff Court on 4 December for pre-court hearing where it is hoped the matter could settled without need for a trial.
