A STIRLING man has denied a handful of alleged offences against police officers in Clackmannanshire.

The 23-year-old is alleged to have thrown a piece of rock at a moving police vehicle as it was moving along the A91 between Alva and Tillicoultry on 19 June 2014.

When approached by officers, he is charged with knowingly giving them a fake named and date of birth in an attempt to defeat the ends of justice.

He is then alleged to acted in a threatening and abusive manner before attempting to punch one of the officers and later resisting arrest by violently struggling with police.

Appearing before Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (24 November) he maintained his plea of not guilty to the five charges He is scheduled to re-appear in court on 8 December for a further intermediate diet and is to face trial on 23 December.
