AN ALLOA man is to be sentenced under anti-stalking legislation after harassing a woman over a six-month period.

Steven McQueen (39), of Inglewood Road, admitted to having carried out a ‘course of conduct’ which caused his victim to suffer fear and alarm between 1 June and 13 December 2013.

He repeatedly sent text messages as well as posting cards and letters to her home address on a number of occasions.

McQueen then refused to desist when asked and was eventually reported to police.

He was due to be sentenced at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday (8 January) but was deferred to await the completion of an psychological assessment.

Sentencing has been further adjourned to a hearing scheduled for February 19.
