AN ALLOA man will face a trial later this month on a charge carrying out a domestic assault in December.
The 27-year-old is alleged to have kicked a woman on the body, knocking her to the ground, before kicking her on the body again.
However, at a sentencing diet at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday (8 January) his defence agent disputed the nature of the offence.
Though he initially pleaded guilty to the charge at first instance, the man disagreed with the circumstances of the incident.
A date of 27 January has now been set to allow for the hearing of evidence.
