AN ALLOA man has pleaded not guilty to beating his wife with a belt during an alleged attack at the couple’s home.
The 31-year-old is accused of reckless destruction of property and assaulting the woman on 26 September 2014.
He appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (26 January) where he denied both charges.
It is alleged he damaged a door by punching it before then seizing his wife by the hair and body, uttering threats of violence and repeatedly striking her on the body with a belt to her injury.
The case will now go to trial on 25 February.
