A TULLIBODY man has pleaded guilty to threatening violence while brandishing a baseball bat.

Ryan Barclay, of Newbiggin Crescent, admitted the charge at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (23 February).

He originally faced two other road traffic charges, but his not guilty pleas where accepted by the prosecutor.

On 4 October 2014 at Abbycraig Road in Sauchie, Barclay behaved in a threatening manner in that he shouted, swore, uttered offensive remarks and threats of violence and brandished a baseball bat.

The court heard that the 30-year-old had three previous convictions for breach of the peace.

Sheriff Simon Collins ordered reports be carried out before sentencing.

Barclay is due back at Alloa Sheriff Court on 26 March.
