A WARRANT has been issued for a Sauchie teen charged with assaulting his pregnant girlfriend with a set of ladders.
The 18-year-old was due to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Monday (22 June) but failed to show up.
It is alleged that, on 31 January 2015, at a property in Tullibody, he did assault his partner, then eight months pregnant, and did push her, throw a set of ladders at her, sit on top of her, hold her down and spit on her, all to her injury.
The teen is also accused of destroying property by punching internal doors and walls before pulling a coat rack from a wall.
A trial date had been originally set down for 13 July.
Meanwhile, a warrant was also issued for an Alva man accused of making threats to a woman and her unborn child.
Dylan Whyte, of Parkgate, was due to be sentenced on Monday but failed to appear in the dock.
The 20-year-old was charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence towards the complainer and her unborn child.
The offence took place on 9 October last year at a property on Sunnyside Court, Alloa. Whyte also faces a breach of a community payback order.
