CONSTRUCTION of a new languages centre at Dollar Academy is under way.
Developer CCG was appointed by the private school as the main contractor to build 10 classrooms in the centre with work expected to be completed by spring next year.
School rector, David Knapman, said, “Dollar Academy are very pleased to be working with CCG following an extensive tender process.” CCG, an award-winning Scottish construction company and manufacturing specialist, is one of Scotland’s largest privately owned construction companies employing 600 staff across eight divisions.
Its off-site manufacturing facility was used to build 237 homes for the 2014 Commonwealth Games Athlete’s Village.
Calum Murray, Director of CCG, said, “CCG is delighted to have been selected to work with Dollar Academy on this project to add to the teaching facilities for pupils.”
