The Dollar Academy Girls’ Cricket Team took part in the hard fought National Secondary Schools Girls’ Cricket Tournament earlier in June.
In the first round of matches, which were held at Stirling Cricket Club on Monday 15 June, they lost against Strathallan, but came-back with two good wins against Dalbeattie High and St Leonard’s.
The team qualified second in their group for the third and fourth place play-off, where they faced a strong regional select Moray side.
Despite their enthusiasm, the girls lost too many wickets and ended in fourth place, but they should be congratulated for their efforts and sportswomanship.
