THOUSANDS of pounds were raised locally for Christian Aid Week (14-20 May).
Earlier this month, an event was held in support of the cause and a number of kind donations have been rolling in.
The week was established by Christian Aid around 60 years ago – to support its work with refugees in Europe – and £11 million was raised nationally in 2016.
This year, thanks to a huge amount of generosity and commitment, a grand total of £5250 came from Dollar and Muckhart.
A door to door collection that was carried out in Dollar, plus donations from Muckhart Parish Church, generated £4506.
A Christian Aid coffee morning held on Saturday, May 20 also raised £744, while a Traidcraft stall made £150.
Thanks is given to the local residents who showed support for the fundraiser.
