A MYSTERY reader popped into a small Wee County primary school last week to entertain youngsters with a tale.
Muckhart Primary School welcomed former pupil Fingal Hall as part of a scheme which sees "community celebrities" come out to read to a chosen class for 10-15 minutes.
Fingal, now head boy at Dollar Academy, could not resist selecting one of his very own favourites from childhood: Captain Duck from the Fix it Duck collection.
The P1/2 class loved it and it proved to be a meaningful trip for Fingal too.
He said: “It was just so nice to be able to go back to my old school. So many Dollar sixth-formers get to go and read to the kids in the prep school, where they were often pupils themselves.
“This was just a lovely chance to re-visit my own primary school experience.”
