A POST OFFICE worker in Stirling was threatened and her shop robbed twice in two days, according to police.

The incidents are said to have taken place on Monday, and Tuesday, September 24-25.

Officers say two men entered Whins of Milton Post Office on Glasgow Road at around 3pm on Monday and again on 10.40am the following day.

During the first incident, a female member of staff was assaulted before cigarettes were stolen.

The staff member was then threatened again and a quantity of cigarettes taken on Tuesday morning.

Two men, aged 24 and 21, were arrested on Tuesday before being charged with various offences on Wednesday and were held in police custody to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court.

Inspector Anton Stephenson, of Stirling Police Station, said: "A staff member was faced with violence twice within two days in their place of work, and such unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated in our community.

"I want thank the public for their support during our investigation and reassure people that we are not currently seeking anyone else in connection with these incidents."
