TWO people have appeared in court after more than £250,000 worth of cocaine was recovered by police in Stirling.
Officers stopped a car on Drip Road, in the Raploch area, at around 9.40am on Thursday, March 14.
A search of the vehicle was carried out with an estimated £61,000 worth of the Class A drug found.
However, subsequent search warrants were then executed at a property in the Craighall Street area, along with a number of outbuildings in the Hawthorn Crescent area.
Within one outbuilding 2.4kg of cocaine was seized with an estimated street value of £193,000.
In total, the value of drugs seized had an approximate street value of £254,000.

Two men, aged 23 and 45, were charged in connection with drug offences and are due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court today (Friday, March 15).
Detective Sergeant Jamie Hughes, from Forth Valley CID, said: “This is a significant quantity of harmful drugs that has been removed from circulation within our communities.
“This recovery was as a direct result of the initial stop and search by officers on patrol in the local area.
“Drugs will not be tolerated in Forth Valley and we will continue to pursue those who are involved in this sort of criminality to ensure they are brought before the courts.”
