FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a minor fire in Stirling City Centre yesterday.
The crews were dispatched following reports of a building fire on Princes Street.
However, they quickly dealt with what turned out to be a "small fire involving rubbish".
No casualties have been reported.
A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 12.03pm on Wednesday, March 27, to reports of a building fire in Stirling.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to Princes Street where firefighters extinguished the small fire involving rubbish.
“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
