A 13-year-old-boy was injured after falling through a school roof in Sauchie.
The accident happened at Deerpark Primary School last Wednesday when the boy fell through a sky light and was escaped with a minor injury.
Sauchie Community Officer, Constable Forbes Wilson, said, "On this occasion the injuries were not as serious as they could have been, but the next time someone may not be so lucky.
"These roof structures are not designed to be walked on and while it may seem like fun to climb all over them, it can quickly turn into a tragedy.
"As well as posing a major threat of injury to themselves, these youths run the risk of being held liable for criminal damage to these buildings and those responsible may well end up with criminal charges and a conviction.
"The summer holidays are a fun time for children and we want them to enjoy themselves. But we also want them to stay safe.
"Children playing on buildings has not just been a problem at Deerpark Primary School, we have also had these issues at Forth Valley College and Craigbank Primary School, as well as elsewhere in Clackmannanshire."
Constable Wilson stressed that it was the responsibility of parents to ensure they know where their children are going, who with and what they will be doing.
And he added, "If anybody sees any groups of children congregating or committing any acts of anti-social behaviour in or around schools or buildings in the area, including climbing on roofs, then think of the danger and please contact police immediately."

Serves him bloody right! I hope the parents get charged for the damage.

I totally agree with Angus, this boy shouldn't have been up there in the first place! Not only has he put himself at risk but also the emergence services who had to rescue him, his parents should be charged for the cost of this.

Obviously the boy was not on the roof for a suntan, but for more criminal reasons.
He should be charged with trespassing with intent to break in - why else was he on the roof?
His parents should be charged for the full cost of repairs to the roof, and then an additional fine to make sure that they fully reimburse the emergency service that were called out.
